Slovak greetings for beginners: hello, goodbye and first meetings
The safest greeting depends less on the clock and more on how well you know the person.
BEFORE YOU START
Use Dobrý deň with strangers, older relatives and service staff. Ahoj is natural with friends, children and people who invite you to be informal.
