WHAT THE SLOVAK A1 TEST COVERS
Useful beginner patterns—not isolated trivia.
The first questions check greetings, introductions, question words and everyday phrases. The middle checks present-tense forms of byť and mať, polite Vy, and simple location or direction. The final questions sample past tense, a hypothetical pattern and continuing duration so the result can point beyond A1 without claiming an official A2 level.
Your score is only the written half of the picture. Use the result to choose what to practise next, then test listening and speaking with a real person.
15-QUESTION WRITTEN CHECK
Find the first lesson that is useful—not merely easy.
What does Ahoj mean?
WHY THE RESULT IS CAREFULLY WORDED
The Council of Europe describes CEFR as a six-level framework and treats proficiency as a profile across skills. The current Comenius University e-slovak A1 course includes pronunciation, greetings and basic communication in everyday situations. We use those boundaries for orientation, but we do not turn 15 clicks into a fake certificate.

BEFORE YOU USE THE SCORE
Know what this short check can—and cannot—tell you.
Is this an official Slovak A1 or CEFR test?+
No. It is a short learning diagnostic for written recognition. It cannot certify a CEFR level or fully assess listening, speaking, interaction and writing.
What does this Slovak A1 test cover?+
It checks greetings, introductions, basic question words, present-tense forms of byť and mať, polite Vy, simple location and direction phrases, one past-tense pattern and early A2 recognition.
What do A1 and A2 mean?+
The CEFR has six levels from A1 to C2. A1 and A2 are Basic User levels. A real proficiency profile covers several skills, so one multiple-choice score is only a starting signal.
